At just 18 years old, Ohio native CJ Klinger has already made a name for himself as one of pickleball’s brightest young stars. Standing 6’3” and playing left-handed, CJ combines size, athleticism, and court awareness with a disciplined yet aggressive all-around game. More than his individual skills, he prides himself on being a great teammate first, an approach that has earned him recognition at every stage of his young career.
CJ first picked up a paddle at age 12 and by 2023, he was a key member of Major League Pickleball’s Challenger team, the SoCal Hard Eights, where his play helped fuel an unprecedented three-peat championship run. Twice during that stretch, CJ was named MLP MVP, underscoring his impact on the game.
In 2025, CJ continued his rise by capturing an MLP Premier League Championship with the Columbus Sliders, solidifying himself as a force at the professional level. On the PPA Tour, he has climbed into the Top 10 in Men’s Doubles and Top 15 in Mixed Doubles, while also securing two PPA Men’s Doubles gold medals. His current DUPR World Rating of 6.785 reflects his steady ascent toward the very top of the sport.
With his blend of talent, humility, and competitive fire, CJ Klinger is not only one of the sport’s rising stars but also a player destined to leave a lasting mark on professional pickleball.
